Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains what information LifeScale keeps about you, why, where it is stored and the choices you have. We keep it short and specific.

01Who we are

LifeScale (lifescale.tech and app.lifescale.tech) is operated by LifeScale (“we”). For anything about your data, write to privacy@lifescale.tech.

02What we collect

Only what you give us or what the service needs to work:

  • Account: your email address and/or phone number, first and last name, and a profile photo if you add one
  • Sign-in: a one-way hash of your password, the public keys of your passkeys, and your active sessions
  • Planner content: tasks, task statuses and types, due dates and repeat rules; checklists with their categories, items, notes, links and photos you upload
  • Sharing: whom you share a checklist with and their role
  • API keys: a hash of each key, its name and when it was last used
  • Preferences: language, theme, time zone and first day of the week

03How we use it

To run LifeScale for you: show your planner on your devices, keep your account secure, let the people you choose see shared lists, and answer you when you write to us.

We do not sell your data, show ads, build advertising profiles or use your content to train AI models.

04Where it is stored

We use a few service providers who process data on our behalf and only for this purpose:

  • Vercel — hosts the website and the app
  • MongoDB Atlas — stores your account and planner content, including uploaded photos
  • Upstash — keeps short-lived security data, such as sign-in attempts
  • Cloudflare — runs our domain names (DNS)

These providers may store data outside your country. Where the law requires it, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards.

05Cookies and browser storage

LifeScale stores your sign-in session, your theme and your language in your browser. That is all: no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies.

06Sharing with other people

When you share a checklist, the people you share it with see that list and your name and email address. When someone shares a list with you, they see your name and email address.

If you connect a tool such as Claude with an API key, that tool receives the data it asks for on your behalf and its own terms apply.

07How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your account and planner content. Copies in backups disappear as those backups expire.

08Your rights and choices

  • Download your data from the app (Settings → Download my data)
  • Correct your name and details in Profile
  • Delete your account and its content (Settings → Delete account)
  • Ask us anything about your data at privacy@lifescale.tech

You may also complain to the data protection authority in Israel or where you live.

09Security

Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords and API keys are stored only as hashes, and passkeys only as public keys. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

10Children

LifeScale is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
